“The best day of my life”: Pierre Garnier lives his dream singing with Ed Sheeran

Having already caused a sensation in early June by playing pétanque alongside Soprano in Marseille , singer Ed Sheeran celebrated the Fête de la Musique with another French artist. On June 21, during his second concert at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium in Lille, the singer of Shape of You invited singer Pierre Garnier to join him on stage, reports La Voix du Nord. Accompanied by the audience, they sang the lyrics of Ceux qu'on était, the hit song by the former winner of Star Academy . Visibly moved, the 23-year-old artist thanked Ed Sheeran on his social networks: "Truly the best day of my life, it was crazy." The English artist returned the favor on Instagram: "It was such a pleasure to have Pierre Garnier on stage tonight, but also to spend time with him before the show. What a talent, such a charming guy."

Pierre Garnier's admiration for the British singer is nothing new: "He's my idol. He does everything, all by himself. He writes, he composes, he does his concerts all by himself too. He's an extraordinary person who seems to stay simple and that's what I like too," he confided in December 2024, on the set of the show C à Vous . Two months earlier, the singer of Nous on sais had covered Ed Sheeran's song Bloodstream . Impressed, the latter immediately congratulated him: "So good" he wrote on social media.

On June 12, during an interview with NRJ , the British singer once again complimented Pierre Garnier, saying that he had "a superb voice." Ed Sheeran also revealed that he "would love to sing on stage with him." His wish has now been granted. Just a little more patience, and who knows? Maybe the two artists will one day release a single together.
